6 weeks Old!

What a great day!..This morning we took some pictures with the new camera Chris bought me (the one that I will never figure out how to do everything it can do)..

Then we did what we had done for so many weeks when I was pregnant..

Today was my 6 week check up...So we went to the doctor in Columbus and then to Cracker Barrel after... its the first restaurant that we have taken Carter to..then went to Babies R Us..

It was the same routine as the preggo days. It actually made me a bit sad, I have such good memories of those days..in a crazy way I miss being pregnant..you mom's out there know what I mean..right?!

Carter got a little hungry waiting on the doctor to come in..he hates the pacifier but he did take it for a little bit...we actully get excited when he takes it!

No I didn't fall off the face of the earth! I have just been enjoying some..mommy time!

And Chris surprised me with a slick new camera so I have tons of new pictures..but I haven't loaded the new program on my computer yet..I try to get as much done during his afternoon nap as possible and I haven't got to that yet..so that is another reason for the lack of posting!

Carter is growing and doing so well! Last night as I was dressing him for bed I discovered he has grown out of most all his sleepers with feet! And I swear they fit 2 days ago!

I did a weigh on our scale and it says he is now 10 lbs!

And his is still sleeping all night, he usually wakes about 3 or 4 and then goes back to sleep ..some nights faster than others.

And this morning is the very first time..I am awake before him..he is still in bed!

Yea!

A new milestone...he can hold this rattle with his hand and move it all around! It was all fine and dandy until he hit himself in the face with it!

Oh the bottom lip came out and I melted... I can see its going to be hard for me not to baby him

Happy Fathers Day!

This my dad holding me 41 years ago! It was Aug 6th their wedding anniversay...looks like we were going or coming from church!
And this was this morning..Chris getting his son up...And Carter had a card waiting for his daddy on Fathers day!

8 hours of sleep!

Last night was very strange in a good way...he slept 8 hours! I know I know...I'm not going to get used to it..but it was nice!

He woke up once at 3 am and I prepared myself for our little routine but he only wanted covered back up..and then right back to sleep he went!

I have noticed a big difference in him the past day, he is smiling... almost laughing now when he looks right in your eyes!

Its hard to get a picture it happens kind of fast but I'm sure that I have have plenty of future opportunities :)

In the meantime here is is enjoying his swing!

Carter's stroller wheels are finally dirty!

We went for a walk today at Dawes Aboretum...he did so good...it seemed the rougher the ride the more he liked it!

I took some pictures but do not have any to share because my camera went wacko..but I will have some next time...we went to make a habit of walking there, its good for all of us!

And Baby Boy is four weeks old today if you go by days..this Friday the 13th he is One month old if you go by the date.

And don't worry I love that he was born on the 13th. I was actually born on Friday the 13th..so me and Carter's motto will be~

LUCKY 13!

It was another good nights sleep for us all...and that is a very a good thing!

He is changing each day, I notice now that he looks right in our eyes for a long time and sometimes smiles ...he is holding his arms over his head and reaching out too.

This was last night...he likes to sleep on our couch. I think he likes the TV and hearing us talk. It was the first time sleeping on his belly, he started out on his side and did a half turn himself!

Personalized Letters!

Last night was pretty good! He slept from 10 pm to 3 am then from 4 am to 7 am! And we went to bed when he did so I was rested by 3 am.

And some of my hair customers came over to visit last evening..it was so good to see them..Carter says "Judy, Tracy, Kim, Amy and Madison..you can come back and hold me anytime"!

Our neighbors made Carter this cute personalized bear..he really likes how soft it is!

And my great Etsy friend Lori from Jewllori sent me these fantastic wall letters! She sent a picture of Carters room decor to Tinkertot Designs and then she painted them to match! The colors and the little airplanes are a perfect match!

Night Nanny Wanted!

If you have been wondering where I have been ...this is what I have been doing!

Little Carter Man wants to be held most of the time. And he has built in sensors on his butt when you lay him down they go off! So I have been wearing down slowly day by day with the lack of sleep at night and the fussiness in the day.

So last night it was grandma to the rescue again! Chris' mom stayed the night.

She made it possible for me to sleep the whole night just getting up to nurse him and then back to bed. I didn't have to rock him for 2 hours trying to get him back to sleep!

He actually sleep for 6 hours last night which sounds like a dream but not when you consider he was up the whole day yesterday.

I just know I am getting paid back..my mom always talked about how I had my days and nights mixed up!

Now I know why the movie stars have nannys...because they can!

I would just like a night nanny..thats not to much to ask for ..right?!?!

Well I feel much better today, even on a rainy rainy day things are looking brighter!

Another new baby at our house!

So I have been absent..since Carters circumcision he has been one fussy baby wanting to be held all the time. So not much sleep or rest for me..I havn't had a minuete to myself let alone time to blog..so it feels like a great accomplishment just getting this post out!

I finally finished this necklace I started the day before my water broke!

Over the weekend we had a lost baby fawn come into our backyard..Chris put it back in the woods so the mother could find it.

So cute... I wish Carter could have seen it!

Carter is healing very well now and hopefully we will be getting back to less fuss and more rest!
