His won last Tuesday..you don't win anything..just bragging rights! So thats what I'm doing!

I had a wholesale order that cleaned out my store the other day so I need to get busy huh?

I'm actually working on my bead area..I had a really cool skirt made for my table and a matching valance for the window.

I had someone from Etsy make them. If only now I could get someone from Etsy come paint the walls for me!

As soon as I get it all together I will post pictures!

Yes it looks small it always does at this stage..actually its 24 x 24 sq ft. Just right! We don't need anything big right?!

Some of you remember waaaayyy back in the 80's at my first salon on 30th Street. One room, one chair about as big as a bedroom..but of all the places ..it was my favorite. I like cozy spaces and I suspect alot of you guys liked it the best too.

The next 2 salon's served their purpose getting bigger each time..but now I'm going back to my roots..I don't regret anything but now I'm finally being true to myself :)

And he is watching his daddy work!Chris is going back to his roots also..before he was a general contractor he was a mason..so here he is laying block once again (he is in bed early tonight) its good for him and I think he is enjoying it!

Looks fun huh?! He loves it..I wish someone would pull me around in a wagon!

Inside Carter's Room

I am slowly but surely getting my house to feel like a home. So I thought I'd post some pics of some done rooms starting with Carter's. After all he is most important so that is where I started! Acually his room was a refudge for me when the rest of the house was/is a mess!

Its a bright sunny room on the south side of the house ( wooden blinds keep the light out) I love the all light in his room..and its closest to the upstairs bathroom. Unfortunately we didn't know the neighbors dogs bark and the sound of 4 -wheelers come right in his room..not to mention the taxi blowing its horn late at night (not sure what thats all about)

And his room is right above our bathroom, the exhaust fan sounds like a jet airplane..well every sound is exaggerated when a baby is sleeping!

But someday he may have a dog and ride his own 4-wheeler and keep another baby up somewhere in the neighborhood. Hopefully he won't be calling a taxi late at night!

Rocker and 700 Sales!

When I have a free moment these days I don't know what to do first..our house is still not put together and that has been my focus!

I don't function well in disorder and "undoness"!

And I just realized that I have reached 700 sales!!!

I can't believe it!

Last week as Carter and I were playing I put him in this rocker that my parents had. After I saw the picture I remembered that they took a picture of me in it also...and I found it!

Hi Everyone!

I know its been awhile since my last blog post..its been a long dreary winter here in the Midwest and finally we had some relief with some mild weather!

Little Carter had his first wagon ride OUTSIDE!

I've been pulling him around inside for what seems like forever!

On a personal note..I've had a few health issues lately but I am on the mend :)

I started having some heart flutters and had to wear a heart monitor for 24 hours...and had numerous tests ..too many to mention.

The worst part was being scared..my mind always thinks its the worst with my family history.

But long story short..I have the Epstein Barr Virus or more commonly known as Mono.

and I have had all the "uncommon" symptoms of it. The tiredness was there awhile back..I just chaulked it up to getting up a couple times and night with Carter. Actually I haven't had good sleep for a year and a half. Some of you might recall my acid reflux, hydroureter problem and just not being able to breathe..Carter was a big boy!

But I am not tired now..and the fluttering is getting better..I just am alittle light headed at times.

I think just knowing what is wrong is a big relief!

And how did I get Mono you ask? k It is known as the kissing disease? Well the only other boy I have kissing besides Chris is Carter and not Carter Osterhouse either!

The virus can lay dormant in your body for years, they say 95% of all people have had it and not known it!

On bright note~

I did start working on a spring necklace last night..so I'm starting to get my groove back!
