Cheez & Ice Cream !!!

This is actually the second ice cream cone for Carter boy..holding it himself that is. I think he does really well...he gets it all over his face but who doesn't right?! LOL

This picture is funny to us because before he was born we always joked that he would come out with a goatee like his daddy..

well tonight he had a chocolate one!
Cheez!!!!




Some new jewelry..

This one I posted before but this is just another view of it before it heads off to Canada :)

These beads I wire wrapped started out as a long necklace...someone wanted the pendant but different beads..so I took off the pendant and made it into 2 bracelets...one was plain one had a charm...I decided to rework them a bit and put these very cool wood rectangles on them.

They look so much better in person..some things just don't catch the light well in photos to show off the colors..I personally LOVE this green turquoise color with the mottled picasso finish.

This is reserved for someone who is new to my blog and was looking at past designs...I ordered in the pendant and followed her simple design request...sometimes simple is best!

I am in the process of making a new blog for my salon..she is designing the template to match my cards as we speak :)

Late Night Creations

We have had a crazy busy the last few days getting the spec house that Chris built ready for the Open House today.

It seems we like that is all we have been doing lately is finishing and cleaning up construction sites..this weekend felt like we were on a TV show with a deadline!

But in the last hour...the last piece of dirt was picked up and we had our open house.

Hopefully it will sell in the slow economy..we have some prospective buyers today so keep your fingers crossed.

I am planning on taking some pictures of the inside to post sometime this week for you all to see.

In the meantime..I put in a few late nights and made some pretties!

2 year Etsyversary

Lori of Jewllori posted that this was her 2 year Etsy anniversary and it got me to thinking that mine had to be close.

I checked and how ironic my first sale was today!

So Happy Estyversary to me!

Daddy is turning out to be the "fun parent" with new toys to keep little man busy.

More Stretchy Bracelets!

But first a little comic relief!

As I was feeding little Carter his snack of jello and whipped cream..and some "cheezes" broke out!

yes I'm on a kick of these bracelets but they are so fun to make and so comfortable to wear..I'm going to try to get them all listed tonight but my eyes are starting to droop!

This working thing is cramping my jewelry style! LOL

And a couple of earrings..the white really POPs off of the antique gold color!

First Day and First Haircut!

I had a sweet surprise waiting on me when I went into the shop this morning..Chris had pink roses and 2 cards sitting on my desk for me! He is the best at picking out cards..they seem to always fit the moment..so I started out with happy tears!

Then about an hour later I had a flower delivery from my Aunt and Cousin!

They are simply gorgeous! And include hydrangeas which are my favorite!

It really made my day..and made me feel special!

My day went really well and I was

amazed how fast I fell back into it. Its always alittle awkward at first when you are trying to get used to new surroundings...but I guess after doing it to many years it was like riding a bike!

At the end of my day I decided to give Carter boy his first haircut!

He didn't mind it at all until........
he realized what was going on..its funny because I think he didn't want his arms and feet covered up

But lucky for him ..he didn't have much hair to cut...just his baby mullet!
He soon recovered!
And finally another Cheez!

Chris brought him out to see each of my clients..I have done their hair so long most are like family..and Carter was so shy acting..I think he just didn't know what to think or what in the world mommy was doing!

But daddy made the day fun..he bought him a pool that is a whale and when you hook a hose to it..it sprays..I guess he loved it!

I took a few quick pictures of the shop cause I know most of you are "dyeing" to see something!

I still have lots of tweeking to do..it still feels kind of empty in places..but the main thing is I up and running!

Shop is ready!

We worked our tails off all weekend...I just came in and its after midnight!

It feels surreal...

For over a year I have been changing diapers and making jewelry..

Now I have to switch modes and do hair!

Wish me luck!

I miss Carter already :(

But I know daddy will take good care of him!

So here is the latest on the salon....

The shampoo station that was supposed to be here 2 weeks ago..then was supposed to be here Wednesday "for sure" got here another day late.

so after Chris begged the plumbers to drop what they were doing to come over and install it...

a hose was missing out of the shipment!

And of course it was a weird beauty shop no one else has it in town kind of hose...and the place that shipped it was closed to the holiday weekend!

Somehow my persistent husband kept pushing buttons until I think he got the janitor there and the hose was overnighted..we got it today and the plumbers installed the sink with the promise of a free haircut!

So...lots of little things happened today..it still looks like a mess but until its all done you won't see a difference. Tomorrow will be a big day!

Oh and I went to hobby lobby to get my BIG mirror for over my station..now if you shop there you know..the mirrors are ALWAYS 50% off.

Do you think they are now? of course not..I'll think about that tomorrow.

No new pictures of the mess ..i mean progress but I do have some of Carter peeking under his crib at Fido..remember our cats?

My friend is fostering a baby girl..Carter was trying to impress her with his CHEEZ face!
